Hi navigator, and welcome to this site, take a moment to rest from all 

the dangers you crossed to arrive to this port and listen to our story... 

'La Corte delle Spade' was born in Imola, northern Italy, in far 2002nd,

  as a re-enacting and theatre company; each one of us, founders, 

comes from over 10 year of experience

in acting, historical skirmish and medieval fighting. 

During all this years, thanking to the great passion for what we do, 

and thanking to our friendship which allowed us to pass through 

a lot of difficulties, the group activity grew up: we tripped

 a lot with our shows across Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria,

Slovenia... we afforded various kind of rapresentations 

and re-enacting activities,

we took part to a lot of tv shows (italian and spanish National tvs, 

Canale 5, ecc..),

we animated fairs, we teached skirmish and many times we made

dreams come true, we pass through stages, in castles and in battles...

madly loving history and the magic of theatre.

In 2003rd we made an alliance with Oste ghibellina historical group. With them 

we organize each year one of the biggest medieval fairs in Italy: 

Palazzuolo sul Senio (Fi). 

As a teathrical company, La Corte delle Spade grew up under 

  Claudio Calafiore's artistic guide.

'Yes we can' is our favourite phrase, and so, in the last 2 years 

we afforded a new challenge, the musical. We've been on stages on 2009...

Well, for all our history and the experience of this years, we created a new

show-formula, in which acting, skirmish, re-enacting and realism take the 

public in a time travel, to see all the episodes which involved 

life of men and women which builded our past. Our activity is based 

on a constant training.

We're part of the National italian sports federation, and each-one of us owns

 his own guardrobe for each of the epochs that we rapresent,  

(from 1000 to 1700).

So we can even purpose, in our shows, duels with different

kind of medieval weapons or sarbre, foils, knifes, etc..

Our dresses are studied in their models, materials and accomplishment

to be like the ancient ones. During our medieval duels we

use lether or iron armours that we built

by ourselfes using the same technics of middle-age artisans.

Oh, our motto is "Ferro e fuoco!" (Iron and fire !)
